The Familienwerkstatt Bremen provides advice, support and empowerment for children, young people and families
Mutual trust and respect form the basis of our work with young people. We believe it's important to take them seriously. During our mentoring, we want to support them in developing realistic goals for their future and strengthen their self-confidence so they can then continue on their path independently.
We believe that parents remain parents – even when family difficulties arise. We strive to make our collaboration with parents as open and transparent as possible. We want parents to take responsibility and actively shape their parental role again.
Our approach – systemic and solution-oriented:
Whether it's school, daycare, or the wider community – children and young people often need more than just family support to thrive. That's why collaboration is so important. In our work, we make sure to maintain a broad perspective, looking at what else is possible. Together with all the people and institutions involved, we aim to develop sustainable solutions.
Our communication – transparent and open.
In our experience, good cooperation is most successful in an open atmosphere and with clear, reliable statements – in all directions: children and young people, parents, institutions and authorities. That means we say what we do.
