The traveling school scholen eV is a children's and youth welfare institution with diverse services in Bremen and the neighboring communities in Lower Saxony.
The traveling workshop school was founded in 1979 as a supplementary school in Scholen, Lower Saxony, by a dedicated group of unconventional educators. Their idea was to offer socially disadvantaged young people the opportunity to obtain a school-leaving qualification through a work-based educational project combining academic instruction with work placements abroad.
In addition to our supplementary school in Scholen, we have greatly expanded our services and now offer a wide range of inpatient and outpatient measures as well as family counselling.
