Traveling with children, experiencing exciting things, enjoying nature, experiencing community, gaining new impressions, making friends
The Obervieland family home is organizing a family holiday to Sahlenburg/Cuxhaven this year.
Dates: July 10–17, 2026
This offer is aimed at families (in all their diverse forms) for whom travel is not a given, partly because their income doesn't allow it. Or at families who simply want to vacation with other families.
This family retreat is sponsored by the Daniel Schnakenberg Foundation. Low-income families can receive a subsidy or grant towards travel expenses. The foundation's grant amount depends on income level. The required contribution should be manageable even for those with low incomes. BREBAU, GEWOBA, and VONOVIA have also contributed financially.
Costs with full funding:
Adults: €175,-
Children aged 3 and over: €175,-
Costs for self-paying guests:
Adults: €376,-
Children aged 3 and over: €266,-
What is included in the travel costs?
The stated amount covers all costs: travel expenses, program activities, accommodation and meals.
What awaits us at our holiday home?
You can expect an idyllic accommodation surrounded by nature – right next to the forest and just steps away from a large adventure playground. The beach is only about a 5-minute walk away, guaranteeing a true holiday feeling.
