e:du – Parents and You

e:du – Parents and You is a free play and learning program for parents with children aged 0 to 3 years who live in the city of Bremen. Families receive suggestions and play ideas tailored to the child's developmental stage.

E:du is an outreach home visit program. A family support worker visits families at home once a week. Families receive suggestions and play ideas tailored to the child's developmental stage. The play and learning materials are for the families' use and remain at their homes. The cost is €7 per month – exemptions are possible.

What would you like to have?

The outreach program consists of individual modules, each lasting six months. Each module includes play suggestions in card format, informational materials for parents, play materials, and books. For children aged three and older, there is also the option of receiving 45 additional pages of children's books with numerous creative activities. Parent guidance on how to implement the program is provided by our family support workers.

What do they get out of it?

Playing together provides valuable learning experiences. As parents, you support your children in developing well in language, movement, thinking, and emotional management. Enjoyable time together forms the basis for a good relationship and a strong bond with your child. A strong parent-child bond has a lifelong positive influence on a child's development. It forms the foundation for successful learning and a fulfilling life.

Would you like to meet other families?

Group meetings are held every two weeks. These meetings provide an opportunity to get to know each other and exchange experiences with other parents. Participants receive information on topics related to their children's development. In addition to shared activities such as singing and crafts, the group also explores their local neighborhood.

Who can participate?

• Parents with children aged 0 to 4 years who live in the city of Bremen.
• Parents who would like support in providing age-appropriate development for their children.
• Parents who want to become more confident in dealing with their children.

e:du is offered in the following city districts and neighborhoods:

• Bremen North: Burglesum, Blumenthal, Vegesack

• Bremen South: Huchting, Neustadt and the districts of Arsten, Habenhausen, Kattenturm/Kattenesch
