The Hemelingen/Osterholz educational counseling center is responsible for the following districts and neighborhoods: Hemelingen: Sebaldsbrück, Hastedt, Hemelingen, Arbergen, Mahndorf; Osterholz: Ellener Feld, Ellenerbrok-Schevemoor, Tenever, Blockdiek, Osterholz
Children, young people, parents, and other caregivers can contact the city's counseling centers for children, young people, and families with any personal or family-related questions. These might include questions about development, upbringing, (family) conflicts, or separation and divorce.
Counselors typically discuss very personal experiences and feelings that require a safe and confidential environment. Therefore, all counselors are bound by professional confidentiality. Counseling is free of charge and available in other languages (with the support of interpreters who are also bound by confidentiality). Young people can access counseling without their parents. It is also possible to receive anonymous counseling upon request.
The consulting team consists of professionals from the fields of social work, education, psychology and psychotherapy.
