Over 600 people in Bremen are homeless – and the number is rising. Common causes include unemployment and the resulting financial hardship, but also health problems and other social issues. Homelessness is therefore a serious social problem.
With the "Housing First Bremen" , Hoppenbank eV is implementing a new approach to homelessness services: Long-term homeless individuals are first provided with permanent housing – without preconditions. This is complemented by needs-based social and educational support, which participants voluntarily can access
The project is supported and implemented by a multi-professional team.
Hoppenbank eV is responsible for providing outreach counseling and support to clients, drawing on its many years of experience in the field of housing.
This project is funded by the Senator for Social Affairs, Youth, Integration and Sport. Haus und Grund Bremen is also involved as a cooperation partner.
