Learning together is much more fun: These courses are perfect for you if you want to learn German together with other women or parents and have a special interest in the upbringing, education and training of your children!

Due to changes in the integration course regulations, we are unable to offer courses for beginners. Prior knowledge of German is required to participate in the women's and parents' integration courses.

The integration courses for women or parents consist of a language course and an orientation course. You can attend a women's or parents' integration course if you have at least one child under 18. We will discuss topics from your life, explore the values ​​of our society with you, and give you important tips and advice for your everyday life.

We offer full-time and part-time courses. The courses take place in the mornings in various parts of the city. Childcare is provided for most women's courses and all parent integration courses.

Requirements for participation

You can participate in an integration course for women or parents…

  • if the migration office (foreigners' authority) has required you to participate in the integration course.
  • if you have received authorization to participate in the integration course from the agency responsible for unemployment benefits.
  • if you have an authorization from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
  • if you are not entitled to an integration course and are prepared to pay the full costs yourself.

We offer advice in several languages ​​and also support you in applying for admission to the integration course.

Contents

In the language course you will learn the basics of the German language. You will talk about topics such as shopping, housing, health, leisure, work and career.

  • Tips on leisure activities for children and teenagers
  • the diverse range of advisory services available locally

In the orientation course, we will teach you about the host society: the German legal system, history and culture, rights and obligations in Germany, values ​​that are important in Germany, for example freedom of religion, tolerance and equality between women and men.

The final test “Living in Germany” is also recognized as a naturalization test if you achieve a certain score.

IMPORTANT!
Due to the 5th amendment to the Integration Course Ordinance, integration courses for women and parents for beginners will no longer be offered from May 1, 2025.
Entry into ongoing women's and parents' courses is possible until December 31, 2027.
Childcare will continue to be offered in all other course types.
