District: outside of Bremen
Type of offer: Consulting offer

As a network of civil society disengagement and exit programs in the northern German states (Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein), the Northern Network for Exiting the Right works closely together across state borders and connects actors to enable exits from and disengagement processes from (extreme) right-wing attitudes, contexts and conspiracy narratives.

The Northern Network for Exiting the Right Wing is the contact point for multipliers, regulatory bodies, authorities, and all other interested parties on the topic of "exiting and distancing oneself from right-wing extremism." In addition to advice and support, further training is offered for multipliers, e.g., in topics such as "Educational approaches to dealing with people who make (extreme) right-wing statements.".

Together, we operate an online counseling service that provides an anonymous contact option for those interested in leaving the far-right scene, as well as for multipliers and family members. A key focus of our work is offering support to leaders and functionaries of the (far-)right scene during their disengagement process. The network also develops and expands concrete tools and methods based on the quality standards of the nationwide umbrella organization, the Federal Working Group "Exit to Entry" (Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft "Ausstieg zum Einstieg" e.V.), of which we are a member.

The “Northern Network for Exiting the Right” is made possible through a cooperation between the state democracy centers and the respective advisory networks of the participating states, and is funded by the federal program “Democracy Live!” as well as, where applicable, the state programs against right-wing extremism.
