Open consultation and café

The Contact and Advice Centre (KBZ) in the “Tivoli” is a place where you are warmly welcomed if you consume illegal drugs, are involved in the drug scene or are undergoing substitution therapy.

In the café on the second floor, you can get drinks, breakfast, and lunch for a small price. You can also take a shower, do laundry, or browse the clothing bank for new clothes.

At the injection station on the 1st floor, you can get syringes, needles, boiling pans, foil, filters, baking soda, ascorbic acid, and other drug paraphernalia free of charge (more information on "Safer Use" can be found here). You can safely dispose of used drug paraphernalia here. The medical clinic in the facility is open for basic medical care in the mornings and at midday.

Computers and telephones are available for use in the open consultation area on the first floor. For questions regarding drug use and addiction, you can speak to various social workers throughout the opening hours. They are happy to help with many everyday problems and, if you are interested, can also support you in establishing contact with other support services or refer you to other facilities (e.g., detoxification, therapy, supported living, etc.).

The most important "safer use" rules:
To reduce the risk of infection with pathogens such as HIV or hepatitis, or of developing abscesses or phlebitis, the following "safer use" rules should be strictly observed:

  • Use your own sterile needle and syringe for each print
  • Always use your own clean spoon. These are called "Stericups"
  • (Boiling pan with filter) you can get from us at the "squirting table"
  • Use filters only once. Caution: Filters do not protect against pathogens!
  • Use only sterile water, fresh cold tap water or still mineral water for boiling.
  • Always use your own lighter
  • Use your own sterile straw for snorting
  • You can find more detailed information, for example, here

Generally speaking, smoking and snorting are less risky than injecting.
