We will arrange an appointment with you at the following locations:

• Gustav-Heineman-Bürgerhaus Vegesack
• Contact point for older migrants, Gröpelingen
• Neighborhood meeting at the Kattenturm community center

There you will meet our senior companions. Our volunteer senior companions in Vegesack, Gröpelingen and Kattenturm will support you

• If you have mobility problems, we will visit you at home
• We will visit you in inpatient facilities or in the hospital
• We arrange appointments with authorities, advice centers and elderly care facilities
• We will accompany you to information events on topics related to elder care or on organized excursions for older people

Would you like to become a senior companion yourself?

An increasing number of older migrants are dependent on assistance. They live alone or their relatives are tied up in employment.

Do you have migration experience yourself and would like to volunteer to help older people? Then join our group of senior companions. Together we visit senior care facilities and services and teach basic communication skills for volunteering to support older adults.
