For all persons who do not identify, or only partially identify, with the gender assigned to them at birth.

Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 7:00 PM

The Trans*Café takes place regularly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at KWEER. It's a meeting place for people who do not identify, or only partially identify, with the sex they were assigned at birth. It's very important to us that "trans*" is a broad term that many people find themselves reflected in (or partially reflected in) and represents a wealth of gender self-definitions and feelings.

At the café, you can spend a pleasant evening, meet new people, and chat about hobbies, favorite TV shows, and all sorts of other things. Sometimes we even have cake.

Questioning whether the gender assigned to you without your consent feels right for you raises complex questions. Sometimes the right words are hard to find, and people wonder if they're even in the "right" place at the Trans* Café. If you're asking yourself this question, we want to say: "Come on by!" You're welcome to bring a friend.
Behind the counter, you'll find people you can talk to if you have any questions or uncertainties. We'll do our best to support you and, if necessary, refer you to counseling services or other resources.
