Since November 4, 2025, PiB has opened its doors at a new address in Bremen-Vegesack: Alte Hafenstraße 67-70 – just a two-minute walk from the previous address “Zur Vegesacker Fähre 2-4”.
In its new premises, PiB will work in cooperation with the travelling workshop school Scholen e.V., an independent youth welfare organization specializing in action-oriented educational support. For over 40 years, RWS has supported children, young people, and families facing challenging life situations. Like PiB, RWS is also a member of the Paritätische Bremen (a social welfare organization).
The new PiB location in the historic residential and commercial building in Bremen North offers plenty of comfort:
- PiB was able to help design seven individually planned offices – from the room concept to the electrical sockets
- Accessible facilities including a disabled-friendly toilet
- Spacious rooms with tall windows
- Brand new fitted kitchens on the ground floor and basement
- Large hall for events and celebrations
- Outdoor area for gatherings in summer
The building is being rented by the GEWOSIE housing cooperative Bremen-Nord eG. A grand opening celebration with friends and supporters of the organizations is planned for 2026. PiB is looking forward to the new premises and closer cooperation with the neighborhood, including the AWO daycare center Alte Hafenstraße and the AWO girls' center Lilas Pause Vegesack. Together, we can create a strong network in Vegesack that will provide long-term, individualized support and guidance to families in the district for many years to come.
