Parents, board members, professionals, young people in voluntary service and interested parties can obtain a wide range of information from the Bremen Children's Groups Association about the services offered by the association and about childcare in parent associations.

In October 1987, concerned parents and supporters founded the association due to the lack of childcare options for children under 3 years old. Their goal was to create better childcare services for toddlers from 0 to 4 years old.

Following the motto "Children need children," regular play and group activities were offered to promote their development. More and more daycare centers run by parent associations were established.

The advisory center opened in 1990, providing guidance to parents on all aspects of childcare in Bremen and supporting parent-run childcare centers with organizational and pedagogical matters. Throughout the years, the network has remained true to its guiding principle of "growing up together" and has steadily increased the number of member associations.

Parents with questions about registering and caring for children in parent associations can contact the association's contact and advice center.

Parents, board members, and professionals from parent associations can receive expert advice from the network on the fundamentals of their association activities, their board responsibilities, and pedagogical issues. Further information can be found under "Advice.".

The team at the advice center currently consists of a managing director, six specialist advisors and four educational staff members in voluntary service, as well as a public relations officer and three administrative staff members.
