About the Blue Cross in Germany e. V.

Every person is uniquely precious to us and a beloved creation of God. We all need healthy relationships – with other people, with ourselves, and with God. Everyone longs for a fulfilling life and healing from life-destroying experiences. At the same time, every person is capable of shaping their life responsibly.

Within this complex environment, we want to accompany people on paths that lead out of addictive behavior. Jesus Christ is our personal point of reference. He liberates us to a living faith and imparts meaning, purpose, and new meaning to life. He motivates us to act responsibly and diaconally. Therefore, we are open to all whom God grants us to encounter.

We engage with society to contribute to a broader understanding of health and quality of life. The BKD addresses social and societal changes that lead to disadvantages for people with addictions and their families with determination and creativity.

As a charitable organization, the BKD continues to operate based on entrepreneurial insights in accordance with Christian values. This is supported by a unified public image. Through the actions and conduct of its members, its volunteers, and its full-time staff, the BKD maintains a distinctive identity as a Christian addiction support organization.
