"May we come in?" This is the question that begins every visit by the Bremen hospital clowns to people in hospitals, nursing homes, and therapeutic facilities. The empathetic clowns bring small moments of lightness into everyday life – and suddenly you might think: laughter is the best medicine!
Cheerfulness in difficult situations
The Bremer Klinikclowns e.V. association is dedicated to enabling and promoting the use of qualified clowns in hospitals and other therapeutic settings. The association supports and promotes the work of its hospital clowns through joint rehearsals, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with external coaches.
The officially recognized non-profit organization was founded on September 18, 2001. Years of nationwide experience have shown that hospital clowns make a valuable contribution to the recovery of sick children and the well-being of elderly people in care facilities. Furthermore, integrating clowns into daily hospital life provides relief for parents, doctors, and nursing staff.
