The Am Kammerberg Children's Home is a key facility of the Hans-Wendt-gGmbH, where children with and without disabilities, as well as children at risk of developing disabilities, receive inclusive care and support. The approach taken is one of developmental support and promotion.

This includes the crucial support and guidance of transitions, especially the transition from kindergarten to primary school, and fostering connections within the local community. The Am Kammerberg Children's Center is a recognized "Movement Kindergarten." Its cross-group concept, based on reference groups and key workers, considers the learning development of all children.

Each kindergarten year is planned in a goal-oriented manner, based on the concept that implements the curriculum framework and taking into account the children's development, during dedicated planning days. The range of activities, which includes project work, inquiry-based and discovery learning, and theme-based work, offers a diverse and engaging program and allows for the necessary differentiation.

The developmental and knowledge areas are anchored in the planning. Learning and development documentation is implemented in the children's center.

Together with the parents, and in cooperation with all the schools receiving the children, a smooth and systematic transition from kindergarten to school is designed.
This also includes targeted preparation of the future schoolchildren.

Parents are our partners and therefore always welcome at the children's center. Since it is extremely important for the children's center that parents have their place within the building, a comfortable parents' corner has been set up in the hall.

The children's center offers low-threshold counselling, support and assistance services as well as crisis intervention for all parents.

Other activities include: crafts for children and their parents, informal chat sessions and discussion groups for parents.
