The Kleine Marsch children's center is located in the Hemelingen district in Bremen's east and opened in September 1994. Currently, 70 children between the ages of 1.5 and 6 are educated, cared for, and educated at the center. Hemelingen is a densely populated district with many families from all walks of life. Affordable housing compared to the Bremen average, its location on the outskirts of Bremen bordering Lower Saxony, and significant new housing construction have contributed to the large influx of residents.
The children's center is situated on beautiful grounds with mature trees, a large meadow, and a sports field. The natural and play-oriented outdoor area, featuring a sandpit, a large play ship with climbing opportunities, swings, and play platforms, is available to the children during childcare hours and offers a place for all the neighborhood's children and adults to meet and play in the afternoons and on weekends.
