Welcome to the Christian Association of Young People Bremen eV – CVJM Bremen for short.
Perhaps you've heard of us in a completely different context – in music? The Village People performed a song about the YMCA. YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) is the English/worldwide name for all YMCAs in over 120 countries, with over 50 million members worldwide. One big family where we experience all sorts of things!
With so many associations, it's difficult to say you know THE YMCA. Even though we all share the same name, each YMCA tailors its work to local needs.
But it's not just the name that we have in common. The Paris Basis of 1855 and the motto of the World Alliance from John 17:21, "That they may all be one," form the basis and direction of our thinking and actions in our work with people.
Our program is active, attractive, and diverse, and is attended by both female and male participants. But why not see for yourself?
