The German Child Benefit Foundation is an initiative of Bremen citizens to promote new, non-profit projects with the goal of creating equal opportunities for children and young people. It was founded to contribute to addressing current and future challenges facing our society. The foundation aims to act as a catalyst, financial support, project initiator, and innovation hub; its guiding principle is "integration"—integration through education, integration through sports, and integration through language.

According to an overview by the German Child Protection Association, 2.5 million children in Germany live in poverty. In Bremen, approximately one in three children is affected. These children and young people are increasingly becoming "educational losers" because their families lack the money for many things: the costs of school trips, sports shoes, school supplies, tutoring, and much more. The German Child Benefit Foundation wants to help. We provide seed funding for projects that enable disadvantaged children to participate in sports and educational programs.

Our foundation is affiliated with the Bremen Civic Foundation. The Civic Foundation manages our foundation's assets and ensures that the charitable nature of our activities is maintained.
