A lively and reliable meeting place for children and young people in the Horn-Lehe district

The German Red Cross (DRK) youth center in Horn-Lehe has been a vibrant and reliable meeting place for children and young people in the Horn-Lehe district for many years – centrally located and in the immediate vicinity of the Copernicus Quarter. With its welcoming atmosphere and numerous visitors from the neighborhood, the youth center is an indispensable place for leisure activities, social interaction, and participation.

In addition to established leisure activities such as foosball, billiards, and darts, the center offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces: a workshop, several multi-purpose rooms for dance, movement, and media activities, a sports hall, a small football pitch, and a spacious garden provide numerous opportunities for active and creative leisure pursuits. The main focus of our work lies particularly in the areas of cooking, physical activity, media, and music. This includes, among other things, regular football sessions as well as DJ and music events where young people can discover and develop their own interests.

In addition to its regular open hours, the German Red Cross (DRK) youth center in Horn-Lehe organizes a variety of holiday programs and trips, including activities in cooperation with the Martinsclub e.V., as well as various festivals and events in the neighborhood. In doing so, the youth center makes an important contribution to strengthening social cohesion and supporting young people in the community.
