German Red Cross Youth Center Parkallee

The offer from the DRK youth center, “Freizi”, Parkallee, is aimed at all young people between 10 and 21 years old from Schwachhausen and neighboring districts.

During our "Open House" event, you are welcome to drop by without obligation and use the facilities and recreational activities at the Freizi. The Freizi is equipped with, for example, a pool table, an air hockey table, a foosball table, many board games, sound systems, a PS5 and a Switch console, as well as several musical instruments and a computer, which can be used by arrangement.

In good weather, basketball, soccer, or table tennis can be played in the courtyard. An outdoor lounge, terrace, and two hammocks invite you to chill and relax. Furthermore, we cooperate with the Barkhof secondary school and currently offer two weekly after-school clubs (a cooking/baking club and an active recreation club), primarily for students in grades 5-7. We also regularly organize various activities with the youth center, such as movie nights, campfires with roasted bread on sticks, or day trips (e.g., to the trampoline park, for a picnic in the park, canoeing, or to other German Red Cross youth centers).

During school holidays, a holiday program usually takes place, which is based on the wishes and ideas of the young people.
