Many people know that the internet allows them to stay in touch with loved ones, access comprehensive information, handle banking transactions, or even contact their doctor. However, not everyone takes advantage of the opportunities that the internet and digitalization offer. Older people, in particular, often hesitate to enter the digital world without assistance. This lack of digital skills poses a problem for social interaction.

Due to the increasing digitalization of all areas of life, digital participation is becoming ever more of a prerequisite for social participation. The Bremen Senate aims to support this and promotes networking and support services in Bremen and Bremerhaven that assist older people on their journey into the digital world.
