Intercultural youth work

The main focus of our association's activities is integration work with children and young people from the Hemelingen district and surrounding area.

From 2 pm onwards, our doors are open to children and young people from diverse backgrounds. The young people can take advantage of various offers and activities: cooking together, eating, playing games, painting, drawing, reading, listening to music, relaxing, homework help, internet café, conversations about everyday and personal problems, as well as free excursions and cinema visits.

Integration Courses:
In cooperation with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), we offer integration courses for migrants. Currently, approximately 130 participants are enrolled in a total of 9 integration courses in Bremen-Hemelingen and Bremen-Marßel. To make the courses accessible to young mothers, childcare is available.

Project-based integration work:
Our various integration projects for women are particularly well-received. For example, the art calendar project "Hemelinger Allmende 2008" was met with such enthusiasm that it will be carried out again this year.

Further integration projects such as the art project “Hemelinger Bricolage”, computer courses for women or the neighborhood project “Interkulturelle Nachbarschaften” expand the range of projects offered.

The Bremen Youth Recording Studio
The Bremen Youth Recording Studio is the jewel of our facility and offers a great music-making and recording environment – ​​at an absolutely professional level, because here children and young people can discover and develop their musical and technical skills under the supervision of our qualified staff.

Our recording studio boasts top-of-the-line equipment and acoustics, offering a wide range of technical possibilities. Whether it's a hip-hop beat, a drum solo, rap, vocals, or a rocking guitar riff – our youth recording studio provides musicians with the right equipment to realize their goals and aspirations.

Kids Club Sebaldsbrück
The cross-district project “Kids Club Sebaldsbrück” has been successfully operating for five years and is aimed at children and young people from the catchment area of ​​the “Eisenbahnersiedlung”.

The railway workers' settlement has suffered from a structural undersupply of socio-educational projects and facilities, which is why the Kids Club is so popular. The project takes place once a week and is aimed at children and young people between 6 and 12 years old, as well as 12 and 16 years old.

The concept aims to provide children with activities to which they would otherwise have little access due to social disadvantage. These activities primarily include playing together in the form of physical and mental exercise, as well as excursions.
