District: Hemelingen

Our offer is aimed at all people in the Hemelingen district, primarily children and young people between 10 and 18 years old.

The Hemelingen district is characterized by significant social inequality, intercultural diversity, and a range of social problems. As a socio-educational institution, the Hemelingen Youth Center creates structures in which young people can value themselves and experience a sense of responsibility, thus giving them the opportunity to explore and develop their own interests, abilities, and decision-making skills through activities and programs.

Gender-specific approaches are understood as a cross-cutting issue and are reflected in all programs and projects. Another focus of the work is the area of sport and exercise. In cooperation with sports clubs, the Hemelingen Sports Association (LSB), and other organizations, the Youth Hostel (JH) organizes and conducts numerous sporting activities, including the Hemelingen Street Football League.
