My personal specialization as a systemic family therapist lies in counseling parents navigating relationship crises or separation situations, with a focus on the lives of the children involved. I draw upon 20 years of experience in family education work in Bremen.

The aim of my work is to support mothers and fathers in finding joint solutions to family conflicts in order to avoid separation or, even after a separation, to continue to be there for their children together as parents and to meet their need for security.

Conflicts in relationships are a part of everyday life – but beyond a certain point, they lead to a crisis. Children need their parents to find their way in life, and parents need all their energy to provide this guidance. Ongoing conflicts drain energy and joy from life.

My counseling focuses on the children while also considering the parents. It aims to help both parents find their roles within the family situation in a satisfactory way and to identify and define their personal options.

My services are aimed at biological parents, blended families, stepfamilies, and single parents. While the focus is primarily on the parents, it can also be beneficial for children to participate in the counseling process. Individual counseling to explore one's own role within the relationship/family can also be helpful.
