Homelessness services | Help for homeless people

Every day we encounter people who are homeless and in difficult circumstances. We offer help to homeless people – we leave no one alone. We provide them with temporary, safe, and secure accommodation so they can find some peace.

Together with those affected, we work to overcome their crisis. We provide a range of support services to help them achieve this. We foster their strengths so that they can regain their independence and participate in society in the long term. In cooperation with internal and external services and specialist counseling centers, we ensure the continued support of those seeking help.

Emergency shelter for men

We help homeless men in need: Our emergency shelter offers 56 overnight beds for homeless men. Admission is possible 24/7. The stay can last up to three months.

We offer the men in the emergency shelter safety and protection – here they can find peace and get their bearings. Furthermore, we support them in overcoming current crisis situations.

Emergency shelter for women

Our emergency shelter provides 14 overnight beds for homeless women aged 18 and over who are in crisis. Admission is possible 24/7. The maximum stay is three months.

We offer the women in the emergency shelter temporary safe and protective accommodation. We also support them in overcoming their current difficulties and in developing and implementing a future perspective.

Herdentor House

Our Herdentor residence offers sleeping accommodations for people experiencing significant mental health challenges. We provide them with a private room where they can feel safe and find peace. We also support them in their current situation and connect them with other specialized services and counseling centers.

Placement in the Herdentor house is handled exclusively through the Central Housing Office.
