The PEGASUS-Bremen eV support association supports the PEGASUS program of the Bremen Cancer Society eV.

• through public relations
• through supplementary services to enable alternative access to PEGASUS

The PEGASUS-Bremen eV support association is a non-profit organization.

It was founded in February 2017 by citizens from Bremen and the surrounding area with the purpose of supporting the PEGASUS program of the Bremen Cancer Society.

All members of the PEGASUS support association work on a voluntary basis for the children and young people and their families, thus ensuring that 100% of incoming donations are used for the good cause.

Why is there a support association?

We are frequently asked why the PEGASUS program of the Bremen Cancer Society has a support association.

The constellation of the three parties – the PEGASUS offer, the Bremen Cancer Society eV and the PEGASUS-Bremen Support Association eV – often leads to confusion and uncertainty among outsiders as to who fulfills which function.

Basically, it's quite simple:

PEGASUS is a service offered by the Bremen Cancer Society (Bremer Krebsgesellschaft e.V.). The Bremen Cancer Society provides premises and staff for group work and family consultations.

The association consists of many volunteers who want to support and expand this important service for children and young people.

The sponsoring association would like to:

• secure and expand the offer
• to reach and inform the public and to draw attention to the situation of children and young people
• offering alternative access with accompanying activities for children, young people and families
• to contribute to the procurement of funds.

But solidarity with the families affected by cancer is also an important aspect of our commitment.

All three parties are working together in a coordinated manner for the PEGASUS offer in order to provide the best possible support to the affected children, young people and families.
