At the U-Shop, you can take what you need. It doesn't matter who's looking back at you in the mirror, where you come from, or where you're going. This is the place where you can browse and chat over tea and cake. Clothes, books, kitchen utensils, toys, electronics, fabrics, candles, and all those other things are neither bought, sold, nor traded.
If you like, bring along undamaged, clean items. Feel free to sort things or keep the shop tidy, because there's no boss, no customers, and no pay here.
This shop offers space for your ideas. Counter the talk of "no alternative" with your creativity and skills. Draw strength for change from utopian visions and don't bow to the lesser of two evils, only to have a price tag attached to your life, your dignity, your happiness.
Don't just consume, but enjoy; resist the competitive struggle that masquerades as self-determination, that instills in you the idea – analyze yourself, optimize yourself, market yourself!
You're invited to help shape the shop, experiment, share your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Try new things, get involved, and work at your own pace.
The U-Shop hosts brunches, film screenings, and lectures… feel free to add your own ideas.
