Midwifery support in the neighborhood
We provide support and facilitate access to family services in the neighborhood. Interpreters are available to ensure clear communication. We offer courses on life with an infant that are not currently available in the area.
With four locations in Bremen East, West, South, and North, and a center in Bremerhaven, we offer all women optimal care before, during, and after pregnancy. The first midwifery center in Bremen East opened in September 2022.
These centers employ freelance midwives. They offer all standard midwifery services, except for attending childbirth. These services include prenatal care and counseling, postpartum home visits, open consultation hours, and conducting childbirth preparation and postpartum recovery courses.
All centers are being built in urban areas where midwifery care has not been adequately provided until now.
