Services for parents and their children in the districts of Horn-Lehe, Borgfeld and Oberneuland

The Family Centers are neighborhood-based facilities run by the Bremen Office for Social Services. Their services are aimed at parents and their children in the local area and are open to all nationalities and diverse forms of cohabitation. The focus is on supporting parents in fulfilling their parental responsibilities.

The central themes of our work are:

  • Family life and parental role
  • Marriage and partnership
  • Education and development of children
  • Everyday life with children

These key areas are taken into account in all the programs offered by the family centers. These include courses, discussion groups, parent-child groups, language and integration courses, fathers' groups, summer camps, playgroups, and much more. Counseling is provided, and childcare is offered. Ideas for self-help are encouraged and supported.
