“Math on the Beach” offers an unusual approach to science and mathematics for children and young people aged 10-16:
Outside of school, ideally during the holidays and even better on the beach, we build water rockets, catapults, and other devices together. Then we begin playfully conducting our experiments.
They work even without much thought or math. However, those who want to improve their results need a deeper understanding.
At what angle does a catapult shoot the farthest?
Depending on age and experiment, we will jointly develop the first steps of the analysis and begin calculating simple dependencies.
We, the members and friends of the association, are confronted with topics from science and technology in various professions.
- Physicists, mathematicians, and engineers
- Science teacher
- Computer scientist
- Teacher trainees studying natural sciences in various subject combinations
- Staff from the education and school sector.
