District: Osterholz
Target audience: Male

So that health becomes a men's issue

Since January 1, 2023, the Bremen Home Foundation's project for men's health has been running in Bremen-Osterholz. Together with the men and other stakeholders, we develop health promotion and prevention programs specifically for men in the district. We primarily work in Tenever, Blockdiek, and the Swiss Quarter.

Men-specific offers

“Männersache Gesundheit Osterholz” aims to promote the health literacy of men from the Bremen Osterholz district and to firmly establish men-specific measures for health promotion and prevention in the district.

Our focus areas

  • Mental health
  • Movement
  • Nutrition
  • Substance abuse prevention
  • Health-related knowledge transfer

Participation and sustainability

In order to achieve the most needs-based and target group-oriented development of offers/measures and at the same time raise awareness of the topic of health, an activating survey of the target group is carried out in two phases.

The perspective of the men from Bremen-Osterholz (needs, requirements, health-related attitudes and skills, willingness to change, barriers and wishes regarding health-related action, existing networks, etc.) is collected.
