Federal Parents' Initiative for the Protection of Mother and Child during Pregnancy, Birth and 1st Year of Life

For a healthy pregnancy and a self-determined birth: Having a child is one of the most beautiful experiences in life for many parents. Mother and child form a sensitive and, in terms of family stability, particularly vulnerable unit within our society during the time before, during, and after birth. However, the current situation in obstetrics is deteriorating. Closures of delivery rooms, staff shortages in hospitals, and significant gaps in midwifery care are endangering the health of mothers and newborns.

Parents refuse to accept this trend and founded Mother Hood e.V. in March 2015. At Mother Hood, they are committed to ensuring that women and children can continue to experience a carefree and safe pregnancy, an optimally supported birth, and good aftercare.

The Federal Parents' Initiative Mother Hood e. V. is committed to

• the right to a stress-free and healthy pregnancy,
• a safe and self-determined birth with free choice of birthing location
• a healthy upbringing of children in their first year of life
