Advice for homeless people and those at risk of homelessness

The Central Housing Advisory Center (ZFW), a joint advice center of various organizations and the Bremen Office for Social Services, provides free advice and information to all Bremen residents if they are homeless; are at acute risk of homelessness (rent arrears, eviction, etc.); or live in insecure and poor housing conditions

  • We help people who are homeless.
  • We provide you with information to help you find an apartment.
  • If you have nowhere to sleep, we can arrange emergency accommodation for you.
  • We can help if you have rent arrears.
  • We help when the landlord has terminated the lease.
  • We help when an eviction lawsuit has been filed or when the apartment needs to be cleared out.

Our goal is to enable you to remain in your home. If you live in insecure or poor housing conditions, we will support you in your search for a new apartment. If your home is no longer easily usable for you due to health reasons, we will assess your living situation and try to develop solutions (home modifications).
