The family and life counseling service of the Bremen Protestant Church offers a wide range of services. From psychological counseling for individuals, couples, and families to advice on pregnancy and pregnancy conflict counseling, you will find everything here – and this is what makes us special – under one roof.
The staff work in several areas and have diverse experience in a wide range of counseling fields. They are trained in psychology, come from various professional backgrounds, and have different additional training in psychotherapy.
All consultations are confidential. We provide advice regardless of religious affiliation, worldview, nationality, or social background.

The family and life counseling service of the Bremen Protestant Church was founded in 1966. Since 1976, pregnancy conflict counseling, pregnancy counseling, sex education, and preventative programs for young people have been added. Since 2009, "Cara – Counseling Center for Pregnancy and Prenatal Diagnostics" has also been part of the family and life counseling service.
We, the staff, are trained in psychology, come from diverse professional backgrounds, and have various additional training in psychotherapy. We offer counseling based on psychodynamic and systemic approaches. Our work is professionally supported through regular supervision and continuing education.
We are involved in socio-political discussions and are closely networked with other institutions in the family and social policy landscape in Bremen.
We are a member of the Protestant Conference for Family and Life Counseling (EKFuL), a professional association for psychological counseling and supervision. We work according to the EKFuL's quality standards.

Do you need advice, but you can't or don't want to visit a counseling center? Then contact us online.
We offer you the option of contacting us via a secure webmail system. This service can be used anonymously without providing your name or address. You can submit an inquiry at any time of day or night. You will typically receive an initial response within two business days.
The consultants are bound by legal confidentiality. Data and information are treated confidentially. All data is transmitted and stored in encrypted form. You have the option to end your request at any time, thereby completely deleting all messages. No personal data relating to your request will be stored.
When submitting your request, you must enter a personal password and you will receive a random request number. You can only access the response to your request later using this number and your password.
