The Salvation Army creates meeting places for parents and children

The Salvation Army views the family as a particularly important unit in our society. It provides the framework for love, security, comfort, and stability. However, family situations can also be challenging and difficult. It's not always possible to reconcile work and family life, and tensions can arise between parents and children, partners, or other family members. Raising children, in particular, has pushed many parents to the limits of their personal capacity. All the more reason to know: no one is alone in facing the challenges of family life.

The Salvation Army actively works to strengthen and support families through its family programs. We provide professional childcare and after-school care, as well as expert educational support for raising children. We also create spaces for families to meet, where children can play freely, parents can connect, and families can enjoy social activities together.

Our offers for families

  • Social Meeting Places for Families:
Families will find a wide range of social activities at the Salvation Army. Here, children can play freely, and parents can exchange ideas about family matters. One of the highlights is our "BabySong" program, where parents regularly sing together with their children.
  • Professional Family Counseling:
Everyday life with raising children can be challenging. We are here for all family-related questions and can arrange individual, couple, and family counseling, support families with home visits, and organize courses, lectures, and workshops for interested individuals.
  • Searching for missing family members:
Our missing persons service helps locate missing family members. In individual cases, we also search for close relatives.
