Telephone support for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's and dementia: The Help Line is a telephone service for family caregivers and older people. Here you can talk about stressful situations – anonymously if you wish. Perhaps you simply need someone to talk to. If desired, the Help Line can provide support through regular phone calls.
Our consultation and support services are free of charge. You will incur no costs other than standard telephone charges.
We are a resource for family caregivers
. Caring for and supporting family members is a huge challenge. Besides the many emotions that can arise, such as grief, anger, fear, and compassion, it is often the simple everyday problems that burden family caregivers in this situation. They need someone who doesn't just give "good advice," but who listens, validates them, and with whom they can find practical solutions.
We are a resource for relatives of people with dementia.
A disease like dementia, in particular, presents families with significant challenges. The loved one changes. And whether it's a father, mother, partner, or friend, many relatives ask themselves: how do I cope with these changes? How can I do what's best for the person with dementia while also taking good care of myself? Our helpline is here to support and guide you through these situations.
We are a conversation partner for older people.
"Growing old is not for cowards." This quote is attributed to Mae West or Bette Davis. Growing older can be a wonderful thing and doesn't necessarily mean a difficult life situation. But sometimes you might wish for someone you can chat with regularly, who asks you "How are you today?" and who can give you tips on what services are available for older people in Bremen.
We are committed to voluntary work.
