Swimming for toddlers can promote a child's development in various ways. The support of a parent in the water fosters safety, trust, and a great deal of joy and fun in movement. Children can thus satisfy their urge to move and their curiosity in and around the water. This, in turn, has a positive effect on their psychomotor development.
