School avoidance / school refusal
KidZ is a project with two learning groups for eight girls (KidZ 1) and eight boys (KidZ 4u) who have been refusing to attend school for some time, even though they are still of compulsory school age.
The project offers:
- the opportunity to acquire vocational qualifications
- small learning groups
- Support for those wishing to return to regular school
- high proportion of practical experience
- Assistance in dealing with different problem situations
- Referral to the Bremen support system
- Support in finding a future career path
- gender-specific orientation
- intensive socio-educational support
- individual learning support
- individual participation duration
- multi-professional educational team
This project is aimed at:
KidZ1 and KidZ4u are projects with two learning groups for eight girls (KidZ1) and eight boys (KidZ4u). They are aimed at school-age students from the 11th grade onwards who:
- have rarely been in school for some time now
- There are shortcomings in school and social learning areas
- living in socially risky situations
- cannot be achieved through regular school approaches and options
