The idea behind the East Stand Hall Learning Center, established in October 2009, is to utilize the fan spaces of the Bremen Fan Project within the Weser Stadium for political education. The project offers young people and young adults the opportunity to engage with socio-political issues in a supportive and engaging environment. The programs aim to raise awareness of social cohesion, free from any form of discrimination, and to connect the content to the participants' lives in a meaningful and lasting way. With the support of the DFL Foundation and the Werder Bremen Foundation, and in cooperation with Werder Bremen, the East Stand Hall is made available for extracurricular educational activities.
The OstKurvenSaal Learning Center project aims to introduce political education to young people and young adults who are not reached, or only insufficiently reached, by traditional programs. Through close cooperation with Werder Bremen, participants also have the opportunity to explore areas of the Weser Stadium that are usually off-limits to the average stadium visitor.
The learning center comprises several modules:
OstKurvenTransfers (workshops on group-based hostility, prejudice/forms of discrimination, antisemitism, violence prevention, gender diversity, fake news, and an escape trail on sustainability/climate change), Fit For Life (social skills training), and other inclusive projects ( e.g., film projects, workshop days on "Accessibility in Everyday Life"). Some modules can also be conducted online. If you are interested, please contact us!
