The public legal advice service (ÖRB) is aimed at all residents of the state of Bremen who have a low income. The advice is provided by the Bremen Chamber of Employees on behalf of the state of Bremen.
The consultation fee is currently €10. This covers advice in almost all areas of law, such as tenancy law, family law, and contract law. No new fee is charged for follow-up appointments regarding previously registered matters. Whether a consultation is a follow-up or a new matter is determined upon registration with the public legal advice service.
The Bremen Chamber of Employees offers personal consultations with advisors who are all fully qualified lawyers. The consultation can include the following services:
- Consultation
- Write to the other party (if the advisors deem it appropriate)
- Wording assistance for a letter on your behalf
- Request for access to files
Advice cannot be provided.
- if you exceed the income limits,
- if the income situation has not been credibly demonstrated,
- if you do not live in the state of Bremen,
- if advice can be obtained elsewhere or
- has already sought other legal representation or advice.
Purely telephone-based advice or representation in court is not possible.
