The START Foundation is committed to equal opportunities and supports young people with a migration background in discovering their personal strengths, developing themselves further, and actively shaping their future. The focus is on education, social engagement, networking, and community.
Education and support for young people with a migration background: The programs are aimed at students between 14 and 20 years oldwho have immigrated to Germany themselves or have at least one immigrant parent. School type, desired qualification, and academic performance are not decisive factors for admission to the START community.
Through the digital START Campus, young people can participate in workshops, live talks, project groups, and other educational opportunities free of charge. Topics include personal development, civic engagement, strengthening democracy, career guidance, and media literacy. At the same time, the community offers the opportunity to connect and network with young people from all over Germany.
In addition, there is the three-year START scholarship with personal mentoring, educational opportunities, and financial support. The one-year START Coding and START Career programs focus on programming and career, vocational training, and university guidance, respectively.
The goal of the START Foundation is to strengthen young people in their abilities, to open up new educational pathways and access for them, and to promote social participation.
