The specialist portal will now offer a central resource for professionals: It provides up-to-date information on family support services, offers insights into specialist topics and events, and facilitates diverse networking opportunities. The entire portal has undergone a comprehensive technical and content-related overhaul, resulting in significantly improved user-friendliness for both families and professionals.

With this relaunch, the Bremen Family Network is consistently developing its digital services and responding to the needs of families and professionals in Bremen. The goal is to make information, services, and support more easily, quickly, and accessibly available. The new website was developed and launched in close collaboration with Department 21, Family Support and Family Policy, within the Senator for Labor, Social Affairs, Youth, and Integration. Over the past few months, Bremen professionals were able to participate in workshops, testing, and feedback sessions, contributing to the consideration, clarification, and addition of relevant points.

New features include a specialist portalthat specifically targets professionals in family education and the social services system in the city of Bremen with its specialized topics and information. Overall, content has been structured more clearly and the topic overview optimized so that all users can find relevant services and information more quickly. New features facilitate personal use – including a chatbot, search filters, and accessibility improvements.

“Since the new website is constantly being developed and expanded, we ask for your understanding and patience, as some functions still need to be adapted or extended,” says Anja Lohse, Head of the Department. “There are still a few glitches here and there; with such a complex website, a transition rarely goes smoothly.” Professionals who would like to get an overview of the new website and its new functions, and learn how the entire portal can be used effectively in their own work, can register for the online meeting “Family Education Network: The Bremen Family Network Website Presents Itself” (June 4, 2026, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) until June 3: Information and registration
