The Regional Advisory and Support Centers (ReBUZ) Bremen are school-related advisory and support systems for students, parents and school professionals in the city of Bremen.
They are organized regionally into North, East, South, and West, each comprising a counseling and an education department. The multi-professional counseling departments offer advice, diagnostics, and support on all matters relating to school and education. Topics covered include learning and performance difficulties, socio-emotional development, language and speech, school avoidance, transitions and educational pathways, violence, addiction, and crisis management. Counseling is based on the principles of voluntariness, independence, and confidentiality.
The education departments offer temporary schooling in various learning groups for students with significant socio-emotional difficulties. Through a structured and individualized learning environment, as well as multi-professional support, the aim is to ensure academic and social participation and, in the long term, to facilitate reintegration into the mainstream system. The goal of the ReBUZ (Regional Education and Support Center) is to strengthen individual resources, open up developmental perspectives, and support children and young people on their educational path. The services offered by the ReBUZ are also available to teachers and other school professionals in the city of Bremen.
