The State Coordination Office for the Istanbul Convention, located within the Women's Affairs Unit of the Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection, coordinates the implementation of the Istanbul Convention for the state of Bremen.

In cooperation with the Bremen Central Office for the Realization of Women's Equality (ZGF), the State Coordination Office developed the Bremen State Action Plan "Implementing the Istanbul Convention – Protecting Women and Children from Violence." The State Action Plan combines measures from all departments of the Bremen State Government into a comprehensive strategy. It was adopted by the Bremen Senate in spring 2022.

The implementation of measures for the prevention, combating, and prosecution of violence against women in the state of Bremen will be monitored and updated by the State Coordination Office. The State Coordination Office participates in inter-state working groups on the topic of violence.

She also coordinates the report of the federal state of Bremen for the federal government's reporting to the GREVIO expert group (Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence) appointed by the Council of Europe, which is responsible for monitoring across Europe.
