Since 2007, an interdisciplinary working group on media use – prevention, competence, and addiction (formerly the working group on media addiction) has been meeting in Bremen, comprised of many experts. The working group also organizes an annual conference.

10 years of the specialist conference and working group on media use in Bremen

The media literacy conference and working group in Bremen have been running for 10 years. To mark this anniversary, the Youth Information Service Bureau has published a brochure summarizing the history of the conferences and the working group and providing a concise overview of the professional debate over the past 10 years. The Media Use Working Group (formerly Media Addiction Working Group) was jointly organized by the State Institute for Schools – Health and Addiction Prevention, the Bremen Regional Counseling and Support Centers (ReBuZ) , and the Youth Information Service Bureau is primarily responsible Markus Gerstmann for invitations, topics, speakers, and the many small tasks involved in running a working group.
