Child and youth welfare services face major challenges: The need for qualified professionals is growing, while at the same time the pedagogical requirements in everyday work are becoming increasingly complex.
The compact training course "Pedagogical Competence in Child and Youth Welfare" addresses the goals of the Bremen Professional Guidelines for Securing and Developing Professionals in Child and Youth Welfare (2026). It supports the recruitment, qualification, and further development of professionals and simultaneously offers newcomers and career changers a practical entry into the field.
The training program, comprised of two consecutive modules, imparts fundamental pedagogical knowledge and strengthens confidence in working with children, adolescents, and families. Its strong practical focus enables direct application to everyday professional practice and contributes to ensuring and further developing the quality of pedagogical work in the long term.
The qualification is currently undergoing the approval process for the new AZAV certification.
