Conference of the DBSH Bremen State Association and the Social Work study program
How should social work organizations and agencies be structured to better address current crises and challenges?
Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 2:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.,
Bremen University of Applied Sciences, Room M 303
Social work providers and organizations face fundamental challenges. In situations of multiple crises, they must constantly transform themselves, both in terms of content and structure, to continue fulfilling their responsibilities. Diverse stakeholders and target groups have legitimate expectations and want to be included and involved in these change processes. At the same time, appropriate organizational forms and sustainable, viable funding models are needed to secure the necessary resources and create a sound framework.
Against this backdrop, the conference will address the central question of how social work organizations and agencies must be structured to better meet current crises and challenges. Following introductory presentations, there will be ample opportunity for discussion.
