District: Walle

This is a networking project with the target group: children of mentally ill parents in Bremen.

Since 2004, the network has pursued the goal of optimizing the cooperation between the systems of "child and adolescent psychiatry" and "adult psychiatry" (outpatient and inpatient) in order to provide constructive and sustainable help to the affected children and their parents.

Underlying thoughts on networking:

  • The needs of the children and the affected parents can only be met through active cooperation between the systems of "child and youth welfare", "child and adolescent psychiatry" and "adult psychiatry" (outpatient and/or inpatient).
  • The encounter and cooperation between the systems of "child and youth welfare", "child and adolescent psychiatry" and "adult psychiatry" are not the goal, but an integral part of network formation.
  • Respect and appreciation for the perspectives of other systems support cooperation and engagement.
  • Previous experience in dealing with the target group, existing projects and models are used.
  • Development from existing structures and integration into existing structures ensure consistency and sustainability.
