Our part-time preparatory course for foreign nursing staff supports you in preparing for the knowledge test and in the recognition process.
This is how you can return to your qualified profession as quickly as possible: In this preparatory course, we support you as a trained nurse in having your professional qualification recognized in Germany and in preparing for the state knowledge examination to become a registered nurse.
Requirements for participation
You can participate in the course…
- if you have already completed nursing training in your country of origin.
- if you have been admitted to the knowledge test by the Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection in Bremen/ the Lower Saxony State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family in Lüneburg.
- if you have German language skills at level B2 (proof via language certificate or internal placement test).
- if you have professional experience in the nursing sector in Germany as well as comprehensive skills in basic care and basic knowledge in care planning and documentation.
Contents
The content of the qualification is defined according to the Nursing Professions Act (PflBG) 2018:
Competency area I: Responsibly planning, organizing, designing, implementing, managing and evaluating nursing processes and nursing diagnostics in acute and long-term care situations

The course is supplemented and supported by the use of a digital learning platform (self-organized learning). The course concludes with a practical and oral knowledge assessment.
